Quit. I know when we can't change a system so entrenched. I quit and now I tutor bright, self-disciplined kids who need extra help. I get to put my excellent teaching skills to good use and I get paid well for it too. The system won't change, so I just decided to take advantage of it. You don't owe anyone martyrdom.
